Prior to obtaining my Doctorate degree, I worked as a registered nurse in the hospital setting, primarily high acuity areas such as the ICU, CVICU, ER, Trauma, and Special Procedures. Working in high acuity areas allowed me to continuously work with patients who were suffering from a wide range of illnesses. I became highly interested in the mental health of those with chronic illness, in particular, those with cardiac illness. During my graduate studies, I focused on the thoroughly researched  correlation between those with cardiac illness, and subsequent depression.

I am working towards completing my studies as a Holistic Health Practitioner. Enhancing my knowledge and expertise in complementary methods and alternative approaches is extremely important to me. This allows me the ability to offer additional resources to patients seeking non-pharmacological treatments. I am a firm believer of our internal healing abilities, and that is why I focus on providing holistic, individualized, patient-centered treatment.
